Michael Wolters' works have been performed in Europe, Russia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. In the UK they have been performed at Spitalfields Festival, the Barbican Centre, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, Whitechapel Art Gallery and Tate Liverpool. His opera The Voyage was commission by the PRS Foundation for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
Since 2009 he has been Deputy Head of Composition at Birmingham Conservatoire.
